Call for abstracts: Phytobiomes Alliance Workshop at PAG 2027
Abstracts for proposed talks are now being accepted for individuals interested in presenting their research at “The Uniqueness and Commonalities Between Plant, Animal and Soil Microbiomes” workshop organized by the Phytobiomes Alliance during the Plant & Animal Genome Conference 34 (8-12 January 2027 – San Diego, CA, USA).
The workshop will take place on Sunday 10 January from 4:00 to 6:10pm.
Workshop Outline
Microbiome-influenced traits in plant, animal and soil systems have the potential to benefit their hosts as well as the environment in many ways, including resistance to disease and pests, efficient nutrient utilization, improved food quality and safety, and resilience in managed and natural ecosystems. This workshop will explore advances in our knowledge of the complexities and dynamics in these microbial ecosystems as a foundation for developing strategies to intentionally modulate microbiomes.
Abstract submission deadline: Friday 6 November 2026, 23:59 US Eastern Time.
All submissions will be reviewed by the workshop organizers.
Abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
