Kwang-Hyung Kim – Seoul National University, South Korea
🎤 Machine Learning Meets the Field: Agro-Climatic Analytics for a Changing Climate
Kim’s talk will explore how machine learning, explainable AI, and remote sensing can be integrated with process-based modelling to advance crop yield prediction, plant disease forecasting, and climate-informed decision support – bridging advanced analytics with field-level applicability.
Danica Lombardozzi – Colorado State University & National Center for Atmospheric Research, United States
🎤 Terrestrial Ecosystem Responses and Feedbacks to Changing Climate
In her talk, Lombardozzi will present a systems-scale perspective on how terrestrial ecosystems respond to and feed back on changing climate – drawing on field observations, ecological modelling, and Earth System science.
Bridget Emmett – UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, United Kingdom
🎤 Soil Health, Agri-environment Schemes and Policy Evaluation and Development
Emmett’s talk will draw on decades of large-scale, landscape-to-national monitoring to examine what robust evidence for soil health actually looks like – and what it takes to translate that evidence into agri-environment schemes and policy that hold up in the real world.
Also confirmed are panelists Natalie Breakfield (NewLeaf Symbiotics) and Vera Bonardi (Corteva), who will participate in the Industry Roundtable.
