About

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) is the flagship public research university in Nebraska. Founded in 1869, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is the state’s land-grant university and the only comprehensive university in Nebraska. Through its three primary missions of learning, discovery and engagement, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is the state’s intellectual center and has been recognized by the Legislature as the primary research and doctoral-degree granting institution in the state.

The Center for Biotechnology

The Center for Biotechnology provides state of the art technologies for research through core facilities, enriches the research environment at UNL through a weekly seminar series, provides training to faculty, students and staff through workshops and short courses and awards student fellowships and scholarships. Currently we offer core facilities for microscopy, plant transformation, bioinformatics and mass spectrometry.

University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the Phytobiomes Alliance

“The Phytobiome Alliance is an important initiative helping to bring prominence to multiple areas of scientific research related to microbes and the environment. The University of Nebraska is pleased to support this important effort to bring research groups together and we anticipate this will lead to productive collaborations and research findings.”
